TGIF not off to a great start

a little bit more venting required:

ok so i almost missed my train... for a couple of reasons: Work is insane. Well one supposedly easy project seems to be going to hell in a hand basket rather quickly (ode to Jen for saying "going to hell in a hand basket" to me once when we were at Wal-Mart in Leamington many moons ago. I laughed at her for using that saying, and now I find myself using that phrase.) back to the venting.

So i eventually made my way to the train station- goodness only knows if I brought enough clothes- hehe excuse for shopping), and I already know I didn't bring enough shoes. How you ask? Well as per usual, I decided I could manage the weekend wearing my knee-high boots. well, dumbo me took a grand fall in the train station (it was a slippery floor) I completely wiped out, I heard a snap and could barely manage to get through the pain to get my spot on the train.- note, the snap was not the heel of my boot, it was something in my ankle. And not only that but NO ONE asked me if I was ok. and usually, not a big deal, I would rather everyone simply pretend they didn't see me, but this time I wasn't ok. I could barely get up. My ankle was killing me. (read: It's still killing me, despite two glasses of wine, and one phenomenal Caesar on the train). So as I sit here still in agony- the pain now rising up my calf and into my knee- the swollen bruise becoming ever more purple, again kids- I ain't exaggerating- I only hope it doesn't slow me down too much this weekend.

Plans thus far:

Drinks with Erin and her new bf. Erin and I lived together in University- I was in 4th, she was in 1st. She was like a little sister to me. She reminded me how to party. We went to Vegas for a weekend one year. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas ;)

I also will be getting together with
Andy- a friend of a (what now seems ancient) ex-boyfriend. Andy rocks. I heart Andy.

Trina- Trina and I go way back. Way way back. before highschool way back. Our parents taught together. Trina and I are the same age. Trina's dad and my mom are working at the same meetings this weekend. I'm so looking forward to catching up with her.

Kevin- oh Kevin. I'm so glad he caught my msn name indicating I was heading to the T-dot. Kevin and I will get together for lunch or coffee or something. Kev makes me smile and laugh.

oh right- and I'll be spending time with mom during the evenings. I'll be her date for the dinner Sunday night (which I get to dress up for- which the shoe sitch of the bad ankle may not be too good). My mom's so cool, she packed us a bottle of amaretto, and I'm in charge of heading to the store across from the hotel to buy cranberry juice to go along with it.

Of course, I must hit up: H&M, Zara's and Sephora- the three stores i adore and don't have the luxury of having in O-town. And considering I didn't have to pay for my train ticket (used my VIA preference points to go first class, and mom's getting paid for the hotel since she's there on business, my trip has cost me 15$ in parking, about 100$ for Tiff's boarding at the kennel, and misc. cab rides. yep I think a little shopping may be done!

ok the train is making me sleepy- nap time now.
