In my lil' ole' apartment way up on the 23rd floor overlooking the city- there's one thing that coincides with cranking the window open to let the cool spring time air soothe me to sleep- it's the sound of those obnoxious and untimely massive trucks crawling by slower than a snail, apparently doing more than pushing around the dust left over from all the salt/sand mixture we needed to keep from sliding around the streets this winter.
So obviously with these trucks out, it means that the snow plows and salt trucks have been put away for another year... but it never fails (ok i think last year was an exception)- the week or so after the street-sweeping-cleaning-trucks (there's got to be a better word for those) the clouds open up not the the April showers that bring May flowers but to the evil snow that we missed in December. yes yes, I know I'm complaining there was no snow in December... last I checked I was Canadian, which means I have the right to complain about the weather (unless it's perfect patio season and sandal weather- no complaining there). And sure enough, it's supposed to snow in O-town this weekend- which is why I'm heading home to K-ville (you read it here first folks- I'll be home, so call me/message me if you want to see my gorgeous face)
Life ain't too shabby otherwise I have to admit, so that's all my rant is about today. Besides, I hardly think I'd be able to sleep without the soothing constant sound of the trucks crawling by....I'd probably complain if i didn't hear them :)
